The 2012 HHSAA State Football Championships was a series of two high school football games played on 23 November 2012 at Aloha Stadium, Honolulu, Hawaii to determine the 2012 football champion of the HHSAA Division I and Division II. The Division I game was between the Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) Division I champion Punahou Buffnblue and the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) Red champion Kahuku Red Raiders. The Red Raiders defeated the Buffnblue, 42-20. With the win, the Red Raiders have won 7 of their last 9 HHSAA State Championship appearances in addition to finishing the 2012 season with a perfect 12-0 record. The Punahou Buffnblu entered the game as the 8-2 ILH D1 champions seeking their second HHSAA State Championship. The teams played against each other at Kahuku's Carleton Weimer Field in Week 2 where Punahou fell 21-13. This game was also a rematch of the 2011 HHSAA State Championship, in which Kahuku defeated Punahou 30-24. Punahou, with a conference best 6-1, received the #2 seed. Both teams received first round byes into the semi-final round. Punahou defeated OIA Red runner-up and #3 seed Mililani 49-19.
